CES Pre-show Observations
I had a chance to walk the show floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center today and if the pre-show buzz is any indication, the 2011 event will be the best CES in at least 3 years. Innovation, simplicity and convenience appear to be the theme for many manufacturers.
I'll not cover the Microsoft's and LG's of the world. You'll get that on the 6:00 news and in every banner ad on the internet, I will cover small innovators that are trying to get their foot in the door. Why because that's where innovation comes from and those companies keep the big boys honest.
Today I'll shine a spotlight on Mizco and their great line of life-simplifying accessories, From cellular charging solutions, to home office and digital imaging, Mizco has the busy professional covered and at very affordable prices. I loved their I-phone, I-pad. I-pod solutions. They're sleek, powerful and attractive. They've really done a fantastic job of minimalizing their packaging footprint and made it much easier to find the solution you need,

THE Consumer Electronics Show - Kicking off 2011 Right
As promised, here now is the first of several blog posts from the 2011 CES Show. I'm not sure at this point how many posts there will be, but there will be several. From gadgets to buyer insights, I'll post relevant and hopefully insightful stuff.
I've got to tell you the excitement around CES this year seems significantly elevated this year. Vendors, buyers and consumers seem to be really upbeat about the show this year. I came out a day earlier than usual this year and I can tell you that everyone I have talked to is excited about this year's show. Moreover in spot interviews, (certainly not an AP poll), everyone and I mean everyone had a good Q4. Not in 08 and not in 09. This year just has the feel of a real kickoff to 2011.
AND I FOR ONE CAN'T WAIT!

CES 2011
The holidays have come to a close, the kids are headed back to school and that can only mean one thing...It's CES time. Hard to believe, but yes the Consumer Electronics Show starts this week in Las Vegas and I can't wait.
The CES show is much more than just an annual convergence of technology hungry hordes, it's really a measure of what's happening in the retail sector as a whole and our economy in general. Expectations are high.
Over the coming days I'll be posting a series of updates from the show and a recap upon my return.
